Olilo broadband customer prices apply to customers with an active Olilo broadband service, subject to eligibility confirmation. RIPE charges the Sponsoring LIR a per-resource fee (currently €50 per ASN assignment). Our fee covers that charge, a share of Olilo's RIPE LIR membership, and administration of your end-user agreement and RIPE Database objects. Registration does not guarantee resource approval or availability.

How it works

How to apply.

  1. Apply

    Tell us which resources you need, who will hold them, and how you plan to route them.

  2. Verify

    We confirm your identity or company details and sign the end-user agreement with you.

  3. Submit

    We file the request with the RIPE NCC and deal with any follow-up questions.

  4. Announce

    Once assigned, we create your database objects and ROAs. Bring up BGP and you're live.

Do I need to be an Olilo broadband customer?

No. Anyone can apply. Olilo broadband customers get the lower price, subject to eligibility confirmation.

What does RIPE need for an ASN?

RIPE policy requires a routing policy distinct from your upstream's. In practice that means you are multihomed, or plan to be, with at least two BGP neighbours.

Can an individual hold resources?

Yes. RIPE assigns to both natural persons and organisations. We verify identity for individuals and company registration for organisations.

What is the /48 PA that comes with ASN sponsorship?

An IPv6 /48 of provider-aggregatable (PA) space from Olilo's allocation, included at no extra cost. It's not provider-independent and stays with Olilo if you leave. If you want portable space, take IPv6 PI.

Where does the money go?

Is approval guaranteed?

No. The RIPE NCC makes the final decision, and registration does not guarantee resource approval or availability. We'll tell you up front if a request looks unlikely to pass.
