Olilo launches ASN and IPv6 PI sponsorship.
Olilo now acts as a RIPE NCC Sponsoring LIR. Anyone who wants their own Autonomous System Number or provider-independent IPv6 can get it through us, from £99 a year including VAT, with no setup fee.
London, 29 September 2026 - Olilo today launched ASN sponsorship, letting individuals and organisations hold their own internet number resources without becoming a RIPE NCC member.
Anyone outside the RIPE NCC who wants an Autonomous System Number or provider-independent IP space needs a Sponsoring LIR to request it for them and hold the end-user agreement. Olilo now takes on that role: preparing and submitting the request, creating RIPE Database objects and ROAs, and handling the yearly admin.
ASN registration costs £99 a year. Every ASN sponsorship comes with an IPv6 /48 PA from Olilo's address space. Provider-independent IPv6 /48 costs £125 a year, and the two together cost £199 a year. All prices include VAT, are billed yearly in advance, and have no setup fee. Olilo broadband customers pay less.
Holders who already have an ASN or IPv6 PI can move sponsorship to Olilo at the same prices as a new registration, including the broadband customer discount.
Getting an ASN is harder than it should be.
To get an ASN without joining the RIPE NCC, you need a Sponsoring LIR, a signed end-user agreement, and the right objects in the RIPE Database. For home labs, small hosting companies and growing networks, that process is slow and often expensive.
We already run AS212683 with strict RPKI and IRR filtering, so we know the process well. Now we can do the same work for our customers and anyone else who needs it.
