Olilo confirms 5Gbps CityFibre pricing: £70/month at launch.

Olilo's fastest CityFibre tier yet - 5Gbps symmetric over XGS-PON - now has a confirmed price: £70 a month for the first 6 months, then £75 a month after. Ordering isn't open yet, but you can register your interest today.

London, 23 July 2026 - Olilo today confirmed launch pricing for 5Gbps symmetric broadband on CityFibre, its fastest tier yet on the network - £70 a month for the first 6 months, then £75 a month after.

The new tier runs over the same CityFibre XGS-PON network as Olilo's existing 900Mbps, 1.2Gbps, and 2.3Gbps plans, pushing the ceiling to a full 5Gbps symmetric - you'll need a 10GbE port to take the full download or upload speed individually, since a 10GbE link is full-duplex (10Gbps in each direction, not 10Gbps shared). Every plan detail carries over: a static IPv4, a /48 IPv6 prefix, no CGNAT, and no traffic shaping.

Pricing is confirmed, but ordering is not open yet - CityFibre's 5Gbps footprint is still rolling out area by area. Customers can register their interest today at olilo.co.uk/cityfibre/v5.0 and will be emailed the moment ordering opens for their address.

Why we're doing this

2.3Gbps stopped being enough for some of you.

We already run a 2.3Gbps symmetric tier on CityFibre, and a chunk of our home-lab and self-hosting customers were maxing it out. 5Gbps is the next real step up - not a marketing number, an actual doubling of usable throughput in both directions.

We're publishing the price now, ahead of general availability, so nobody's guessing what it'll cost when it does go live.
