Olilo comes two ways, and people mix them up. Prosumer - this site - runs on our own network and is built for people who run things: static IPs, no CGNAT, bring your own router. Consumer is plug-and-play home broadband for everyone else. They're separate products, so here's how to pick.

For sysadmins, homelabbers and self-hosters. You want a static public IPv4, a /48 of IPv6, no CGNAT, and the freedom to bring your own router and announce your own prefixes. We hand over the credentials and get out of the way.

For everyday home and family broadband. You want fast, reliable fibre, friendly support, and none of the networking homework. No static IP by default, though you can add one if you need to host something. Want a router taken care of too? Add a managed Wi-Fi unit for a small extra monthly fee. It's a separate Olilo service delivered on a partner network.

Prosumer and Consumer are separate products on separate networks with separate contracts. You can't move between them mid-term, so it's worth picking the right one before you order.

Choose Prosumer if...

  • You run a homelab, NAS, game server or anything you reach from the outside world.
  • You self-host, expose a Pi to the internet, or run an inbound VPN.
  • You want a static IP, custom rDNS, or to announce your own IP space over BGP.
  • You'd rather bring your own router and have full control over it.
  • You want to talk to support without explaining what a subnet is.

Choose Consumer if...

  • You want fast, reliable broadband for browsing, streaming and video calls.
  • You'd happily add a managed Wi-Fi router so it just works, no setup.
  • Words like CGNAT, BGP and static IP don't mean much to you, and don't need to.
  • You'd rather not configure anything or bring your own kit.
  • You want friendly support that won't bury you in jargon.
